Civil Air Patrol Celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Cadet Program!

Would you like to honor and serve America? Do you want to prepare for your future while making new friends? Then rise to the challenge of cadet membership in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol.

Cadets typically meet for two hours per week on average, participate in occasional weekend events and also have opportunities to attend leadership encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer.

All applicants for cadet membership must meet the following prerequisites:
12 years old (or attending 6th grade) through 18 years old.
Enrolled in or graduated from a public or private school or college with a satisfactory record of academic achievement.
Not married.
Not a member of the active duty Armed Forces.
U.S citizen or alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States.
Good moral character.

Whatever your interests-survival training, flight training, photography, astronomy-there's a place for you in CAP's cadet program.  Each year, cadets have the opportunity  to participate in special activities at the local, state, regional or national level.  Many cadets will have the opportunity to solo fly an airplane for the first time through a flight encampment or academy.  Others will enjoy traveling abroad through the International Air Cadet Exchange Program. Still others assist at major air shows throughout the nation. Apply for Membership ONLINE .

It's a great opportunity... Join CAP ....meet the Challenge!
